My first blog out here – talks about my personal conflict on what happened during the first IPL match. For the reference, I am naming my 2 sides of my mind A and BA : When you see this pic, whom do you support???? Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar in his usual blue or Andrew "Freddie" fllintoff in his unusual Yellow (He’s generally sported in Red and Blue - Team England).........
B: In the inaugural IPL match between CSK and MI, the whole Tamil Crowd chanted for SRT’s wicket which aint happen, and he remained N.O. on 59 and hence inflicting the first injury to the CSK.
A: And I being a CSK follower, am forced to support the person who is bowling to "The legendary" SRT, and had to cheer Mat. Hayden when he hit a six off the “Turbanator” Bajji. That’s the effect of IPL, turning heavily patriotic person to a cheap traitor.
B: Don’t you think traitor is a tough and big word in this case? Is this just not a game, and should it taken sportively?
A: Imagine this situation; India again goes to England and SRT again plays Freddie, this time around whom would you support?? SRT or Freddie??? If you say SRT, then you are easily compared to an Indian Politician, who switches sides at ease and if you say Freddie, then welcome to the League of Traitors.
B: “WAT??? Traitor for just not supporting a national Sporting Team??? Don’t I have my own opinions???”
A: Well yes, if you just cannot support a team of 11 people representing the Country, then you have no rights to vote in India.
B: “And buddy, Freddie played for my state when I supported him, and now he is in the opposition so I switched”
A: Well let me remind you, the Freddie was bought for a price, someone similar to an Assassin (Of course of a smaller degree) , you know to do what.
B: And you might well be compared to Godse, who held Mahatma Gandhi responsible for weakening India by insisting upon a payment to Pakistan.
A: Ok on either way, these thoughts make me to think if the IPL is really Indian Premier League or is it Illusion Premier League (a world pulled over our eyes to blind us from the truth – Like the Matrix)??
B: Hey… Stop thinking it soooo seriously, watch the matches and enjoy them. After all, its they who play and take the money, you get nothing out of it except the enjoyment.
